    Offer a balanced approach to small group members and leadership. Explores group dynamics, leadership skills, strategies for worship, nurture, mission etc.

  13. I Come Away Stronger - How Small Groups are Shaping American Religion. by Robert Wuthnow. Eerdmans Publishing, 1994.
    A compilation of case studies which allows the reader to explore the intricacies of group life. These portraits are powerful and highly personal because they tell the stories, both collective and personal, of each group, revealing agreement and dissension, closeness and alienation, growth and stagnation.

  14. Growing The Church Through Small Groups - by Roberta Hestenes. Videos and Workbook published by Fuller Theological Seminary. Copies of each are provided for distribution through the Baptist State Convention Video Library, Ext. 160. Hestenes provides an excellent introduction and training for small group leaders. She also helps a church understand the value of small group ministry in the 90’s.

  15. Community That is Christian- A Handbook for Small Groups - by Julie A. Gorman. Published by Victor Books, 1993. An excellent resource for small group leaders. She explores the biblical and practical values of small groups. A book that will replace many other books on your shelves!

  16. The Synergy Church- Integrating Sunday School and Small Groups by Michael Mack, Bethany Press, 1996. Mack provides an insightful research based book which answers questions that surface when small groups are mentioned and a traditional Sunday School exists. An excellent guide for those who are seeking to achieve a balance between the two in a non competitive manner.
